Most of the example school produced
movies being displayed have been created with various cameras, scanners
and audio sources. However there is one thing they seem to always have
in common.
Most all School / educational institution editing is done using "Apple"
brand hardware and editing
software. Mostly because Apple computer took lead in making sure
the educational institutions were well equipped for
preparing the students foe the multimedia connected
world! They were in the authors opinion, true leaders with
vision. That future is becomming reality now! I tip my hat
to them and others who have this vision.
Namely,
educational institutions editors consist of .... Apple Final Cut
Pro, iMovie and Final Cut Express.
When editing photos, iPhoto,Final Cut
and "Apple" seems to have it all...
"Quicktime" player for (.mov)
format is the mate to Apple editing software.. seems to be preferred for best quality and
presentation via the web.. However data transfer volume is
very lengthy for Internet use..
There are many
other fine Multimedia (Video / photo) editors.. for
those of us that cant afford the price tag of Apple...
Pinnacle studio
is
among the best afforable solutions. It will allow you to save your
projects in .wmv, .rm, mpeg and other replay formats.

required it can be done as part of the movie streaming / download .

To do streaming flash.. one needs a "Streaming Server"
(.flv)
and (.swf)
Of
Course, there is the professional and a bit more expensive option of
actually encoding with a special editor encoder... using the best high
quality video source (such as a AVI, mpeg and other) to be converted to
a .flv format.
Actually, multiple .flv streams are created for fast, medium and slow
speed Internet connections.
The (.flv) encoding is usually saved in a
special hardware device called a streaming server equipped with a
streaming software server program and attached to the fastest Internet
wideband connection available.
A .flv /
.swf streaming server software allows (on most streaming
servers)
detection of the actual kind and speed of the end users computer as
well as the Internet connection speed. Some servers even detect the
kind of media player available.
Usually the download starts immediately and is as fast as the users
connection will allow. The picture quality is usually excellent! Most
